I want to build a two story extension to the rear of my property. Where do I start?

What if I need planning permission?

How long will it take before I can start building?

From the architects visit to your project receiving planning permission, realistically would take about four months. If planning permission is a dead certainty, (the architect could advise you so), you could have a builder agreeing to start soon after permission is granted.
